Travelogue 2013: UK Trip Day 1

Was so semangated/hyped about my first trip to UK with hubby, baby girl and hubby's family+cousins.. yup.. about 12 of us traveling in a group! i know right? LOL. Our Emirates flight was scheduled to be at 2am..we were there by 11pm.. talk about spending time at the airport. After a lot of dilly dally (baby girl had loads of fun running around KLIA while waiting) we boarded the plane around 1.45am. 

There was a sense of nervousness bunched together with our excitement, since it was the first ever time we'd be on a plane with a baby.... and it just happened to be a very loooong first flight! 

Oh did i mentioned that 'due to some technical difficulties, our flight to Dubai has been delayed'... what a great start! 

After 2 hours of waiting and doing nothing (seat belt sign on)...we were finally off! My poor bum was already sore from seating down in the same position (baby sleeping on my lap..kesian nak gerak2)

Food was nice although twas a bit weird that 'dinner' was served at 5am Malaysian time. 

Arrived at Dubai at 9am and rushed like mad to the other end of the world (felt like it) to get to the departure gate. Turns out we still had time to kill, so went to the baby changing room (spacious, clean and many available) at the departure hall to a quick baby fresher upper. So happy to see such good facilities in another country..never ever attempt to change your 1 year old in the airplane toilet equipped with baby changing facilities.. cramped and her head was dangling at the edge because the table was small due to the small space. Uuugh...

Finally arrived in London Heathrow at 4.30pm ish...good thing we didn't pre booked any tours.. Little one was looking happy and adapting to the cold weather just fine, Alhamdulillah. :) Successsss! 

Was impressed with the mini bus Hubby's aunt rented to drive the whole lot of us to the apartment.. Hyde Park Corner, here we coooooome! 

Reached the apartment (with our gazillion bags) ard 5.30ish and was soooo looking forward to venture out to atleast high st kensington since it was just a short walk away.. Akan tetapi, little big boss was getting moody and with the weather turning colder by the minute, uh-oh...crying baby alert uollls! only managed to venture abt 200m from apartment before doing a u-turn back.. *sigh* bukannyer apa... kesian tengok hidung & mata meleleh-leleh mcm pipe bocorrrr..

So basically first day was just looking out the window, seeing people jog at hyde park while little big boss ran around happily around the warm apartment.
